About Me
I am a Ph.D. student and SSHRC Doctoral Scholar in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto. My primary research concerns the relationship between life, agency, and sentience—particularly from the perspective of the enactive approach to cognitive science. I am especially interested in investigating the plausibility of biopsychism, the thesis that all life is sentient. More generally, I am interested in consciousness, intentionality, and action. I also have secondary interests in the philosophy of science broadly, and especially as it relates to questions concerning scientific naturalism and the place of the mind in the natural world.I completed my M.A. in the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology, and my B.A. in Philosophy and Cognitive Science, both at the University of Toronto. From 2022-2023 I was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Philosophy at York University.
